Today’s craft is inspired by the spooky season and it’s super easy! All you need are plastic drink stirrers, some Halloween miniatures, and glue.
Personally, I’m not a fan of doll houses and the miniatures section of the craft store. It just doesn’t hold a lot of appeal for me. But while I was walking past a seasonal miniatures rack, I spotted these fun little apothecary jars. It was the glitter for me. I also spotted some cute little glitter pumpkins and glitter skulls at the dollar store that would work well for this project, too. It’s all about your style and budget.
I used two kinds of glue for my project. The hot glue is to hold the pieces together so that the super glue can dry in the right place. If you’re using something like foam, you probably won’t need super glue. A plastic to plastic project definitely needs the extra hold. Especially if you plan to hand wash and reuse them.
Plastic stir sticks
Place a dot of hot glue on the bottom center of the miniature and attach it to the end of the stir stick.
Once the hot glue is cool, squeeze a small ring of the E6000 glue around the point where the miniature and the stir stick meet. Think of this like you’re caulking in the gap. Allow the glue to dry for 24 hours.
