Make Your Own Personalized Bar Sign

Hooray, it’s Friday! How’s your summer going? I’ve been spending as much time outside soaking up the sun as possible. Today I have the cutest and easiest DIY for you. All you need is a simple frame, a cute swatch of fabric that will fit inside, and letter stickers. And maybe a brainstorm sesh.

For my bar sign, I went with Rin’s Rum Cove because I liked the alliteration and how the short words looked stacked up together. For your sign, you should totally choose what’s fun for you! Start with a favorite drink and then a fun place to go with it. Just make sure the stickers you buy are a good size to go with the phrase.

Not sure where to start? Here’s a list to get the creative juices flowing:

  • Wine Cave
  • Scotch Locker
  • Bourbon Bar
  • Tequila Haven
  • Gin Joint

So after you pick your words, I recommend cutting out the letters and lining them up with the backing still attached. This will give you a good sense of which direction (portrait vs landscape) your frame will be. If you need help keeping things lined up, place a sheet of lined paper under the glass. Once you’ve got your words placed and lined up, remove the backings and stick em! Then, cut out your fabric and frame it. Voila! New super cool bar sign made for your space.

And, of course, I totally want to see what you come up with. So tell me about it in the comments below and tag me on Instagram if you make your own sign!
