Crunchy Onion Crostini

So, while transferring over blog posts from rin+RUCKUS, it appears that I missed one from last year. And by one, I mean this one. So, instead of back-dating it, I’m publishing it right meow.

These crunchy Onion Crostini are dang delicious. It doesn’t get better than crunchy onions and cheese. I made these with Friendsgiving in mind, but these would be a great appetizer for any fall festivity.

The first time I made these, I buttered the bread and then sprinkled on some crunchy onions and cheese. Tasty, but not quite party ready. Trust me, take the extra time to melt the butter and mix it all together. It helps the delicious topping stick together so you can get more on there.

The other good part about this strategy is that some of the butter will melt off the top and help get the bottoms nice and crispy, too. Hungry yet?

Crunchy Onion Crostini

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Cup French Fried Onions
  • 1/2 Cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1/2 Cup Butter Melted
  • 1 Baguette Sliced

Instructions
 

  • Slice the baguette into 1" slices.
  • Melt the butter and combine with parmesan cheese and french fried onions.
  • Spoon cheese mixture onto the baguette slices, and place on a baking sheet.
  • Bake the crostini at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 5 to 7 minutes. The cheese topping should be golden brown and bubbly.
